Droupadi Murmu Become India's 1st Tribal Woman President and 15th president of the Republic of India
She defeated the opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha in the election
The 64-year-old’s declared on July 21 following an election in which all Indian lawmakers and legislators voted.
Droupadi Murmu will take the oath on July 25, a day after president Ram Nath Kovind tenure ends.
She earlier served as governor of the state of Jharkhand (2015-21).
