Florida court shuts down WiFi to block live reporting of Trump hearing
A Florida court has shut down its WiFi in an attempt to block live reporting of a hearing involving former President Donald Trump.
Justice Department reporter Sarah Lynch for Reuters news agency tweeted on Thursday.
Sarah Lynch Said - " It really sucks and I don’t understand it. We do this all the time in DC District Court...
It makes the courts accessible to the public. I’m beyond angry.”
She continued: “I’ve been told that texting is also prohibited during the hearing. ..
So our reporter inside the courthouse can’t tell what happens until it’s over.”
The court confirmed, That the WiFi has been turned off but refused to provide further details.
